Brief info
Hi there, my name is Peter Priestley.
If I was to explain what I'm like to somebody, I would say I'm ALL or NOTHING! Whether its sports training(completing long distance Ironman) , Mountain Biking (racing DH, Enduro and Xc) , in work (taking on multiple large projects), self-discipline (giving up drink and going vegetarian), In Love, In Art or any form of commitment I encounter, so the sauna business is no different. I suppose I get my drive from trying to succeed to the best of my ability and I try not to compare myself to the next person. I feel if anything is approached with the right intention, you will succeed!
I spent a long time working with horses and competing, which brought me into doing film work with horses which I really enjoyed and still dabble with should the right film come up. I then trained as an electrician and setup my own contracting business which I still run, over 15 years now. I also setup a bespoke lighting company @moodwood.ie where I make custom lights from copper and timber to suit the space I'm presented with.
I decided to give up drinking 4 years ago, in January 2020 and since that moment, my life has changed for the better on all fronts! I would highly recommend it to anybody who is on the fence. I'm currently on my path to become a Wim Hoff instructor, I guide people through the Ice-Bath experience. I'm very passionate about it.
I'm personally a level 1 & 2 Pirtus Bath Master and offer whisking treatments to customers. I specialise in Death and Rebirth ceremonies which sounds intense but it's what we deal with every day of our lives. I'm trained in aromatherapy techniques, clay rubs with essential oils & massage, a range of fun and healing whisking treatments for personal or group sessions. Leaving our clients with a lighter emotional sense of well-being as they leave the sauna.
I have also spent time in Finland with two Finish Shamans who walked me through their spiritual Ceremonies , which date back 100s of years. In Finland we visited over 14 different styles of saunas in 10 days, trying to get my head around the vast range of styles of sauna and how each sauna has its very own unique experience depending on its build style and heating type.
I have participated in Men's and mixed Retreats, going deep with connection and discussing hard feelings and emotions which are better off shared for personal development. I've facilitated at herbalism retreats with the sauna, using natural herbs to infuse the sauna experience. Ive recently tried a Kundalin activation and the whole experience has captured my attention and in Febuary I hope to attend a course to facilitate this medium with The Healing Forest.
I have recently just completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (Hatha Style) alongside Pranayama & Meditation in Australia with Wild Self Yoga. We are currently offering classes now at our permanent location in The GAP (Glencullen Adventure Park).
When we facilitate our full range of treatments we are called "Corp Agus Croí" (Mind and Heart)
We are fully insured and everyone is trained up to heighten the experience.
Thank you for reading.
